Manager Paul Warne wants one, possibly two, central midfielders. An extra defender is also a possibility but a new goalkeeper is a priority, with the return of Fulham stopper Marek Rodak for a second loan spell just one of the options under consideration.

Fulham sold goalkeeper David Button to Brighton yesterday and if they do, as expected, bring in a replacement, it could yet make Rodak available again.

Rotherham have no fresh injury worries in the wake of Saturday's 1-0 win over SC Wiener Neustadt but Warne said the fact one or two players ended the game playing out of position emphasised the need for reinforcements.

Making plans: Paul Warne.

"That's not a problem because the lads can play in a number of different positions and they learn different parts of the game but we are looking forward to bringing some new faces in," he added.

The squad will be split for tonight's fixtures, which will be the first domestic run-outs since last week's training camp in Austria.

Both matches kick-off at 7.30pm.

Admission at Sheffield FC is £5 (adults) and £3 (concessions). At Stocksbridge it is £8 (adults), £5 (concessions) and £2 (kids under 12).
