The smallest crowd ever recorded for a Rotherham United home game
The previous worst was 87 years ago
A new mark for the lowest-ever recorded home attendance in Rotherham United's 100-plus year history was set this week when Alex Bruce men did battle in the Jersey Mike's Trophy.

Just 805 spectators were present at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Tuesday night for the 1-0 group-stage loss to Newcastle United's under-21 side, and never before has a Millers side played in front of so few people on their own soil in a competitive game.
The previous figure for the smallest crowd was recorded more than 87 years ago.
That was when 947 people watched Rotherham take on Bradford City at Millmoor in the Northern Section Cup on January 30 1939.
There was a second record statistic as the Millers bowed out of the JMT at the hands of the Magpies youngsters.
Only 72 fans away fans were inside the stadium, which was the smallest number of travelling supporters seen at New York for a fixture in an official competition since the ground opened for business in 2012.
The old low of 111 came in August 2023 when Morecambe travelled to S60 in the first round of the Carabao Cup and were beaten in a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw.
Sheffield United followers hold the record for the biggest away attendance at New York, set in a 2023 summer friendly when they snapped up 3,779 tickets were for the South Stand and part of the East Stand.
They made the short journey home disappointed because Rotherham won 1-0 through a first-half Andre Green goal.
