Titans' rebuilding job starts

COACH Justin Burnell will begin the job of rebuilding Rotherham Titans into what he hopes will be a Championship force after Saturday's win over Nottingham effectively secured their place in the division.

Titans can mathematically still fall through the trapdoor but bottom side Moseley need to win their remaining three games with bonus points and Burnell's side have to lose the lot. If Moseley lose at Doncaster on Friday then Rotherham's survival will be confirmed.

They beat Nottingham 22-12 on Saturday, a game which both delighted and frustrated Burnell.  "I'm disappointed to be honest," he said. "We had all the play in the first half and then gave away a silly try.

"But at least we know we are almost there and we should be able to go to Jersey this weekend and enjoy ourselves."

Debutant Will Robinson scored five penalties and converted Will Owen's try as Rotherham came back from 7-6 down at the break to triumph.
