Titans ready for first run out
TITANS head to Fylde for their first pre-season run-out tomorrow with coach Mark Jones giving players a chance to stake a claim for starting jerseys when the Championship gets under way.
Jones will take a squad of 24 to the Lancashire club, the first of two warm-up games against National One opposition. The other is next Friday against Loughborough, ahead of the big kick off on September 6 when Ealing come to town.
And the new Rotherham chief says that several positions in the team are still up for grabs.
“Some players can’t be overlooked when it comes to starting but I’d say there are six or seven places that are still to be filled,” he said.
