The veterans afternoon tea was introduced at the school as part of its Remembrance Day activities.

A spokeswoman said: “Two years ago, we introduced a veterans afternoon tea as part of the Remembrance Day event and it was hugely successful.

“It has grown each year and this year is due to be even better.”

She added: “We have developed our service into a memorable event for the children and visiting veterans alike.

“The children rehearse for months to deliver a production that not only respects the lives lost by our serving personnel but keeps the important message alive for future generations.”

The event is in St Mary’s church hall at 12.30pm followed by the Remembrance Day service in the school hall at around 2.15pm.
