Millers draw a blank

ROTHERHAM United had to settle for a goalless draw at Barnet this afternoon and ended the game with ten men.

Striker Alex Revell was sent off ten minutes from time for a challenge on David Stephens as they tried to get the better of the home side, who are still without a win.

Little was seen from the Millers in attack in the first half and they were indebted to some solid defending from centre-half Craig Morgan and two sharp saves by Scott Shearer from Bees dangerman Ricky Holmes to keep them on level terms.

There was an improvement and more urgency in the second half and home goalkeeper Graham Stack was called upon to make his first serious save just before the hour mark when he excelled to keep out a header Alex Revell.

Holmes screwed wide when clean through at the other end and Shearer saved at full stretch from Barnet skipper Barry Fuller’s 20-yard effort before Revell got his marching orders. But even after that substitute Kieran Agard went close to snatching a winner for the Millers when he broke through and forced Stack to parry.
