Loan chance for winger

MILLERS manager Steve Evans has sent Lionel Ainsworth out on loan but says he still has a future at the club.

The winger, just back from a shoulder injury, has joined Aldershot Town on a two-month emergency loan deal to get some games in.

The deal includes a recall clause after 28 days and the Millers have given Aldershot permission to play the former Shrewsbury man in the FA Cup.

Evans said: "Lionel has gone to get some first-team competitive action and that really is the sole reason why I have sanctioned the loan deal. He certainly has a future with us.

"The lad is now desperate to be playing and I have listened to his request for that to happen."
