Millers make approach for Barker

Barker, from Aston, will leave his current role as assistant manager of League One side Charlton at the end of the season after joining as Karl Robinson’s number two last year.
Addicks manager Robinson revealed an approach from the Millers today (Friday), which the club confirmed but said they would not be making any further comment.

Hide AdRobinson said: “We had an approach from Rotherham United last week about speaking to Richie. I’ve spoken with him, I’m disappointed that he’s leaving but it is a club that he has played for and has got a tremendous affinity with.
“It’s the only job that would have taken him away and I wish him all of the luck in the world.”
A spokesman for Charlton thanked Barker for his work at the club.
