Kieffer Moore's farewell to Rotherham fans

KIEFFER Moore has delivered a farewell message to Rotherham United fans.

The big striker signed a permanent three-and-a-half-year-deal with Championship side Barnsley today following a successful loan spell with the Millers from Ipswich, in which he bagged 13 goals during the first half of the season.

In an interview with the Advertiser, Moore said: "I am buzzing that I have left on such good terms with everyone. It's been an experience, an emotional experience, and I have loved every minute of it.

"I just want to thank all the staff, all the players, all the fans and everyone involved for accepting me for the player I am and the appreciation I have warranted from my performances on the pitch."

In the shadows at Portman Road not so long ago, the big striker needed a leg-up and his switch to Rotherham provided it.

"Has it been the happiest spell of my career? Yes," said Kieffer. "It's been the most productive, my physically strongest, my mentally strongest. I've learnt and achieved a lot in a short spell.

"It has propelled my career forward. I'm a bit speechless to be fair and I can't thank Rotherham and the gaffer enough.

"My highlight was probably scoring the last goal of my hat-trick against Southend. That really set me off."
