Cummings not coming to Millers

NEW Millers manager Alan Stubbs has ruled out raiding former club Hibernian for new signings as he looks to strengthen his current squad.

Rotherham United currently have only 10 contracted first team players and five others who are considering new deals, meaning the search for new players is a top priority before pre-season training begins on June 30.

But Stubbs will not be looking at any players from his former club, Scottish Cup winners Hibs, and that includes star striker Jason Cummings.

Cummings (20) was on the Millers' radar last year and the Scotland U21 international has netted 25 times for the Easter Road club this term, but Stubbs isn't interested in trying to persuade Cummings to follow him south of the border.

Stubbs said at his press unveiling today: "I've left Hibernian on good terms and for me I'd like to think I'm a decent man.

"For me, to go back there as soon as I've left is not morally the right thing to do and I wouldn't do that because I have too much respect and admiration for the football club."
