Double injury blow for Millers

ROTHERHAM United could make a move into the transfer market after losing two players to injury.

Winger Lionel Ainsworth dislocated a shoulder in the warm-up to Saturday's 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle at the New York Stadium while right-back Dale Tonge injured knee ligaments early on and had to be replaced.

Although the actual severity of the problems isn't yet known, it could mean two months out for Ainsworth and at least a fortnight for Tonge, with team manager Steve Evans indicating the club may have to move to find replacements.

Saturday's win, courtesy of a 73rd minute striker from substitute Kieran Agard, was Rotherham's third on the spin and lifted them into sixth position in League Two.

The Millers host League One outfit Stevenage in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
