Derby triumph for Millers

ROTHERHAM United surged into the automatic promotion frame in League Two with a terrific win at Bradford City tonight.

Second-half goals from Lee Frecklington and Kieran Agard clinched a 2-0 victory to lift the Millers up to third spot with two matches remaining.

Chances were at a premium on a bumpy pitch and Steve Evans’ men had to defend bravely at times, particularly in the first half against a stream of corners.

The second period was more even and the deadlock was broken nine minutes from time when home substitute Michael Nelson handled in the box and Frecklington gleefully slotted in from the penalty spot to the delight of the Rotherham followers in a crowd of more than 13,000.

The gloss was put on a fantastic evening when Kieran Agard raced clear deep in stoppage time to roll in the second.
