Mourners to gather at café to honour life of Rotherham crash victim Sophie Murphy
“That's where she touched so many people.”
The family and friends of a young woman killed in a crash on Sunday are holding a gathering to commemorate her life at the cafe where she worked.

Sophie Murphy died after the black Volkswagen Passat she was in lost control whilst driving down Penny Hill Ln at 1.29am on Sunday Morning and struck a telegraph pole.
Police were called to the scene and Sophie was sadly pronounced dead.

Three others were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail.
Sophie’s family will be holding a gathering at Murphy’s cafe, 9 Sycamore Centre, on Friday from 7pm to commemorate her life.
Her parents, Alan and Karen Parker, explained that they wanted to hold the gathering at the cafe because “That's where she touched so many people”.
They said: “Most people know her from working there.

“She was the life and soul of the cafe. She was so nice, she made everyone laugh.”
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicle before the collision or the collision itself.
Mr and Mrs Parker hope that the gathering for Sophie will encourage people with information to come forward or go to the police.
