Rotherham charity hosts musical sessions to help reduce isolation

ROTHERHAM-based dementia charity Lost Chord is extending its services in a new partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society.

Lost Chord provides interactive musical sessions for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region.

Its concert programme has been extended into five Alzheimer’s Society Cafes in the Rotherham and Doncaster area.

The cafes are attended by people with dementia and their carers and are an opportunity to meet in a social setting and have access to information, advice and support.

The cafes also provides social interaction, support and the exchange of information and experiences.

Throughout the autumn, Lost Chord musical events will be held at dementia cafes at Davies Court in Dinnington, Cantley Community Centre in Doncaster, the Ivanhoe Centre in Conisbrough, the Montgomery Hall Memorial in Rotherham and the Wesley Centre in Maltby.
