Lost Chord says thanks for £1,600 concert boost

DEMENTIA charity Lost Chord has thanked supporters after its annual Christmas concert brought in £1,600.

Some of the professional musicians involved in the organisation's year round programme of musical events at day centres and care homes played during the evening of musical favourites at All Saints Church in Laughten-en-le-Morthen.

“This was a truly wonderful opportunity to hear our Lost Church musicians doing what they do best, and we were so delighted that so many people with dementia were able to attend,” said the charity’s chief executive Helena Muller.

“The £1,600 raised will be going towards the funding of Lost Chord’s work with Alzheimers Day Centres and Memory Cafes, ensuring that people in the earlier stages of dementia and still living in the community can retain their independence for as long as possible.”
