'Gloriumptious, giggle-inducing adventure is on its way to Rotherham Civic Theatre

Ahoy there, ship mates!

Captain Jack has heard about a great family friendly show coming up at Rotherham Civic Theatre.

Rotherham Rep's next show will be Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine.

A spokesperson for the Civic said: “George Kranky is a young boy who lives on a farm with his parents and his grumpy, mean-spirited grandmother.

“One day, while his parents are away, George decides to teach his grandmother a lesson by creating a special medicine.

“He mixes together a wild assortment of household products, including shampoo, toothpaste, floor polish, and other unusual ingredients.

“When his grandmother drinks the medicine, extraordinary things happen.

“What happens when a bored boy, a grumpy Grandma and a saucepan full of completely bonkers ingredients collide?

“Join George on a gloriumptious, giggle-inducing adventure as he cooks up a medicine so marvellous, you won't believe your eyes!

“Expect mayhem, mischief, and a few very unexpected surprises.”

The show will run from Tuesday November 10 to Friday November 13 at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £11.50 or £9.50 concessions.
