We're ready for Wolves

THE Millers are on a mission to notch their first Championship points of the season against Wolves at the New York Stadium tomorrow.

Pitting together two promoted sides, it's got the makings of an intriguing battle, with the two meetings between the teams last season producing 16 goals.

And Rotherham manager Steve Evans, who saw his side beaten 1-0 at Derby on opening day, is ready for another attack-minded Wolves team and expects similar when Watford visit on Tuesday.

“These are two offence-minded teams and they're two games to really look forward to,” he said.

“With some of the signings they've made, Wolves have got significantly stronger and we like to think we are stronger too.

“It's going to be a wonderful occasion in front of a big crowd and it'll be another big game on Tuesday because I think Watford will be one of the contenders for automatic promotion.

“But tomorrow, our first objective is to score our first goal in the Championship, the second objective is to secure our first point and the third and most important one is to win.”

The reward for Tuesday's Capital One Cup win over Fleetwood is a trip to Premier League Swansea later this month.
