Waiting game over transfers

MILLERS boss Steve Evans believes that the majority of his January transfer business is done as he awaits news on his latest moves.

Of two offers lodged last week, one has been turned down while another club are taking longer to decide their position as the window edges closer to slamming shut.

Speaking after last night's win over Bolton, Evans said: "We'll do one or two bits before the window closes but they have to be good players.

"We've got two long-term loans and two short-term loans that are up in a couple of weeks' time. We've got 18 players when some think we've got 38 to 40 like some of the clubs we play in this league. We're trying to do things prudently and sign the best we can."

Zeki Fryers and Jack Barmby are the two short-loan players in question and Evans will soon have a decision to make over their future.

Jonson Clarke-Harris, who made his first start for MK Dons last night, may also return to the club in February.
