Fish and chips and PBs for Rotherham Running Club
A TRIP to the coast for fish and chips was on the agenda for Rotherham Running Club last weekend, but not before they took part in the ever popular Grimsby 10k.
Just two weeks ago Jack Yaquoob was flying round the Edinburgh marathon but that didn’t effect him at all as he blitzed the opposition to finish in an unbelievable 34:25, an amazing PB.
In glorious racing conditions Steve Riley shone in the aqua vest just pipping his previous best and coming home in an amazing 40:52.
Damion Wheldon (41:37) was another who impressed on his coarse debut with a PB alongside fellow PB’ers Kelsey Bacon (51:52) and April Farthing (49:36). Robin Williamson continued his fine form smashing his PB with a time of 53:26 and Stephanie Duce had the race of her life coming home in 1:02:00.

On the fast and flat course Emma Wheldon and Louise Siddall had great runs as did the ever consistent Joanne Raynor-Johnson and up and coming athletes Jon Clark and Nicki Riley.
Further afield and Pete Freeman joined over 26,000 runners on the start line at the Wroclaw night half marathon in Poland. His time of 1:58 was his fastest this year and as he continues his fine form.
