Val’s back with her 1950s cooker

A MUCH-loved cooker dating back to the 1950s is back in action again — after being declared unsafe and taken away.

She passed it on to vintage store Parkgate Antiques and had expected it to be taken away.

Val said she was delighted to be back to using the widely-travelled family heirloom — which had been hooked up at Douglas Street to East Crescent to Cambridge Street to Netherfield to Newstead Close and finally Herringthorpe Valley Road.
