VIDEO: Renovation makes Conisbrough ‘King of the Castles’

CONISBROUGH Castle has re-opened following an extensive £1.1 million renovation.

The striking 12th century landmark has a new visitor centre and other features, mostly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Liz Page, historic properties director at English Heritage, said: “We have worked hard to find dynamic new ways to bring the castle to life.”

English Heritage also made this video to promote the relaunch, featuring knights from Conisbrough taking on the Doncaster Knights rugby team.
