Wildlife on the agenda at Aston HS2 event

A WILDLIFE trust will shine the spotlight next week on the possible impact of HS2 on the countryside.

Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust are holding an HS2 community event at Aston Hall Cricket Club at 7pm next Thursday.

The Trust is seeking views from residents to help shape itsresponse to HS2 Ltd’s recently-released environmental consultation on HS2 Phase 2b, which will cut through Aston, Thurcroft and Bramley.

Trust staff will explain the likely impacts of the route on local wildlife, habitats and green space and gather comments on how these can be limited.

The event is free to attend.
