Lawyers' beer festival brief

Solicitors will be “behind bars” later this week as they help out at Rotherham’s biggest party.

Oxley and Coward are among the sponsors of the Rotherham Real Ale Festival at Magna from Wednesday until Saturday and staff from the firm will be among the dozens of volunteers manning the beer pumps.

This year’s festival is the second to be held at MAGNA but is the 20th year of the event, which this year is entitled “Baas of Steel.”

Over the last two decades the festival has become a key event in Rotherham’s social calendar and last year attracted over 10,000 visitors from far and wide.

“We are really proud to be sponsoring the Rotherham Real Ale Festival once more,” said Oxley & Coward Solicitors Partner, Rebecca Stopford (pictured).

“Having established itself as a much anticipated event on the local calendar, the festival also raises thousands of pounds for some of the most deserving local charities in our region.

“Last year’s event was a great success and we are looking forward to pulling a few pints and some pounds for charity in the process.

“For many people, consulting a solicitor can be a sobering prospect, so the festival is great way for us to reach out and it is refreshing to have real solutions for real legal problems.”
