I'll be back, says Karl

TEAK-tough Karl Harris has vowed to be back in action next week — despite breaking a wrist last weekend at Donington Park.

The Aston rider crashed out of free practice in the British Superbike round after a tangle with newcomer Danny Buchan.

Harris was taken to the medical centre where the fracture was revealed.

But the racer says he’ll be back in the saddle as early as next weekend as the Superbike series moves to Assen in Holland.

"It was one of those things. I think Buchan lost the rear, then let off the brakes and just came into the side of me,” he said.

“It's only a fracture but I have injured that wrist before so it is better not to take a chance to be fair, but I will be back for Assen, no problems.”

The injury was the last thing Harris wanted after making a successful return to Superbike racing at Cadwell Park last month.
