Nearly 1,000 cannabis plants found in drug swoop
POLICE got more than they bargained for when they checked on a house in Warmsworth — almost 1,000 cannabis plants.
They found 120 large plants and 844 baby plants after being called to the property at Sheffield Road at 4pm on Monday.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been remanded in custody.
A police spokesperson said: “The electrics to the address had also been bypassed but have now been made safe."
