South Yorkshire Police confirmed that officers visited the camp on August 4.

Officers issued a Section 61 notice for those who had encamped on the land to disperse.

This notice allows police officers to direct unauthorised traveller encampments or trespassers to leave an area of land and remove their vehicles.

The group is expected to leave the site today, August 5.
