Body found at Didcot Power Station identified as Ken Cresswell

A BODY recovered from the rubble of Didcot Power Station has been identified as that of grandfather-of-two Ken Cresswell.

The body of Mr Cresswell (57), of Clifton, was found at around 7pm on Wednesday and workers formed a guard of honour as it was taken away from the site at around 6.15am on Wednesday.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said his family had been informed and were being supported by specially trained officers.

The body of his colleague John Shaw (61), of Kimberworth, remains missing in the rubble.

A joint Thames Valley Police and Health Safety Executive investigation has been launched into the collapse of the boiler house.

The body of Christopher Huxtable (34), from Swansea, was recovered from the site last week.

A fourth man killed — Michael Collings (53), from Teesside — was recovered at the time of the collapse in February.
