Army Reserve Band to perform free concert at Rotherham Minster
The Band of the Royal Yorkshire Regiment has played in Germany, Lithuania and France
A military organisation which supports South Yorkshire veterans is set to welcome an Army Reserve Band, which has played all over the world, to perform a free concert at Rotherham Minster.

The Band of the Royal Yorkshire Regiment is a military wind band based in Huddersfield and provides musical support to The Royal Yorkshire Regiment and the British Army both at home, and abroad.
One of 19 UK-based Army Reserve Bands, the group of musicians has played on the Rhine in Germany, Lithuania, and Denmark.
The Band also performed in France at D-Day 75 as well as delivering digital tributes to Dame Vera Lynn and Remembrance 2020, all of which achieved national recognition.
The group will play Rotherham Minster as part of a line-up of events and activities by the Military Community Veterans Centre.

A spokesperson for MCVC said: “We hold a range of events and activities where veterans can get together and enjoy the company of others.
“We are delighted the Band of the Royal Yorkshire Regiment are to perform a free concert for all at Rotherham Minster.
“They have previously played Lithuania in support of the British Embassy after being deployed in late 2018 and performed an equally successful series of engagements in Denmark the following year.
“The concert at Rotherham Minster will be on Saturday September 26 at 7pm.
“Entry is free, although advance booking is required, and a retiring collection will support Rotherham Minster and the Royal Yorkshire Regiment Trust.”
