ROTHERHAM United's derby clash at Sheffield United tomorrow has been called off after the death of The Queen.

The EFL released a statement this morning saying that all matches scheduled for today and on Saturday wouldn't go head.

The governing body said: "It has been determined that all EFL fixtures from September 9-10 will be postponed as a mark of respect by the national sport to the passing of HRH, Queen Elizabeth II.

"This is aligned with the approach that the Premier League and the FA will take with their competitions this weekend."

The Millers had sold out their Bramall Lane ticket allocation for the Championship showdown, a new date for which will be revealed in due course.

Some other sports are continuing their programmes and rugby league and rugby union games are going ahead.

The Queen died, aged 96, at Balmoral yesterday, bringing to an end her 70-year reign.
