FIXTURES: No reunion with Black for Villa game

THE Millers' first away game at Aston Villa on the second weekend of the season won't see a reunion with former caretaker boss Eric Black.

Black was in charge at Rotherham for one game - against Burnley - following the departure of Steve Evans.

He eventually joined Villa as caretaker manager and was at the helm when the midlands club were relegated in April.

Black yesterday left the club following the appointment of new boss Roberto di Matteo.

It will be the first league meeting between the Millers and Villa since March, 1972, when Villa won 2-0 at Millmoor in front of 16,200 fans
