VIP well-wishers ahead of group's Got To Dance TV date

A PROMISING dance group has welcomed a pair of VIP guests ahead of their appearance in the live semi-finals of a TV dance contest.

Would-be streetdance superstars The Future were delighted when the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr Shaun Wright and Mrs Lisa Wright, dropped in at one of their rehearsals.

They were visiting the Nikki Lynam School of Dance in Eastwood to wish the group well as they prepare to show off their skills in the latest stage of Sky1’s Got to Dance on Sunday.

The group won plaudits from the show’s judges for the audition last month and are raring to go ahead of the next stage of their battle to win the £250,000 top prize.

There are six acts featured in this semi-final and the top two, as determined by a public vote, will progress to the live final on March 4.

Got to Dance is on Sunday at 6pm on Sky1.
