Road closed as water pours down Rotherham street this afternoon
Road closure as water pours onto road surface near busy junction
A road has been closed this afternoon, as water pours down the the carriageway from a suspected burst pipe.

While South Yorkshire firefighters are issuing warnings over tinder-dry conditions creating a fire risk in Sheffield’s green spaces, water is cascading along Fenton Road, in Rotherham, with a section of the road closed as a result.
One eyewitness described the situation as ‘a bit chaotic’ at what is a busy junction, adding it looked like a pipe may have burst underground.
The Star has approached Yorkshire Water for more information.
