Fears grow for missing Brinsworth man

POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of an 82-year-old man missing from his Brinsworth home.

Ernest Ronald Lancaster was last seen just before leaving his home on Alric Drive around 4pm on Saturday.

It is understood Mr Lancaster left home with his bus pass and a small amount of money. He has failed to return and has not been seen by any family members since.

Mr Lancaster is vulnerable and takes medication for a minor heart complaint. He also suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and may appear confused.

He is described as about five feet  eight inches tall, of slim build and with short, greying hair. He was last seen wearing dark shoes, a v-neck dark blue/black jumper, a black-striped shirt and black jogging bottoms with a white stripe down the legs.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr Lancaster is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting crime number CX/2259/2012.
