Large police cordon in Rotherham field as officers spend night at scene

A large police cordon is in place in a Rotherham field this morning.

Residents say officers have been at the scene, off Worksop Road in Aston, through the night.

Photos show at least three police vans parked on the field near a thicket of trees.

A large area is taped off, and maps show the area also has a small stream nearby.

South Yorkshire Police was contacted for a comment.
