Tragedy as body found at Rotherham hotel

A body has been found in a Rotherham bar and hotel, police have confirmed.

South Yorkshire Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service were both sent to the Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel on Taylors Lane, Parkgate with their vehicles seen outside the building early in the afternoon on Sunday, July 26.

A police car, a police van and an ambulance service paramedics car were all at the scene.

Police confirmed that they had been called after someone had been found dead at the venue, but say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers said in a statement: “Officers attended to a non-suspicious death. A filed is being prepared for the coroner.”

The hotel has over 40 rooms.
