Three men seen battering car with "weapons" on Rotherham street, say police
Three men were seen battering a car on a Rotherham street before fleeing on foot, say police.
The trio of males fled along with the car and its driver before police arrived at the scene on Station Street, Swinton, yesterday (Wednesday) at about 1pm.
It is understood the car was parked up near to a bus stop when the males began the attack. The driver, say police, has not come forward.
A police spokesperson said: “Yesterday, March 25, just after 1pm we received a call reporting that three men had began attacking a vehicle on Station Street in Rotherham.
“It is understood from initial enquiries that a car was parked up, near to the bus stop, when three men have began hitting it with weapons, causing damage.
“The car left the scene and the offenders also fled on foot. The driver of the vehicle has not come forward.
