Business boost as new firm moves to Rotherham

ROTHERHAM’S economy was boosted this week with a £1.5 million investment by a major packaging firm.

Kite Packaging Group has completely relocated its northern branch from Sheffield to Aldwarke in Rotherham, expanding the premises’ size from 20,000 to 30,000 sq ft.

The new building has motion-sensor lighting to help Kite meet their environmental targets and a stock holding facility that meets new EU regulations, plus state-of-the-art heat pump systems to provide air-conditioning.

The move follows £3.5 million investment in the firm’s Midlands branch in Coventry, more than doubling the site there.
