There’s still time to grab your last-minute costume, but we’ve been busy looking at all the events you should go to this Halloween.

To get you in the spooky mood, why not kick things off by picking your very own pumpkin to carve at Eastfield Farm in Tickhill, Doncaster and pairing it with a festive pumpkin spice latte from their cafe?

Wentworth Garden Centre has got half term stacked with Halloween events, including fancy dress competitions and pumpkin picking running all week.

The centre will also see the return of the Wentworth Witch for any child brave enough to face her.

It is also hosting a ‘creepy crawly animal encounter’ session where youngsters can get hands on with a range of little animals.

Mexborough social club has a full schedule of frightful events, from a bath bomb painting session to a children’s Halloween party on the day.

If you prefer frightful stories, The Three Cranes pub and Rotherham District Civic Society are hosting a ghost walk where you can hear “delightfully dreadful tales of Rotherham's tragic, mysterious, and occasionally gory past”.

The £10 tickets include a spooky cocktail upon arrival, and attendees are invited to enter the pub’s costume contest afterwards.

Rotherham Market will be hosting free events for little ones all day on Saturday including pom-pom monster workshops and leaf printing classes.

Finally those who prefer trick-or-treating on Halloween should make sure to stop by the Wicked Wonderland on Breck Lane, Dinnington on Saturday night.

The event, run by Helen Azar, sees her transform her entire home into a spooky playground for children in the community, complete with wild decorations and home-made props.

After being almost destroyed by high winds last weekend, Helen has rallied to make sure the event goes ahead as planned, and will even receive a visit from the mayor of Rotherham on Halloween night.

Mrs Azar has already raised more than £4,500 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice through her wonderland, saying: “It’s turned into something much bigger than I'd ever anticipated, but it’s absolutely worth it.”
