Two boys robbed at beauty spot by three teens armed with weapons

TWO boys were robbed in an “extremely distressing” incident at a beauty spot after they were approached by three teens wielding weapons.

Police said the two boys, aged 15 and 17, had been walking along the footpath between Waverley Lakes and the River Rother at 1pm on Sunday when they had been approached by three unknown teenagers, who reportedly threatened them with weapons and stole their belongings.

The first suspect is described as white with glasses and black hair.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit and is of a large build.

The second suspect is described as white and wearing a long black padded coat and a black balaclava, while the third suspect is also described as white, and was wearing a balaclava and grey tracksuit.

Det Con Georgina Thomas said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the boys involved and although they were not physically injured, they were understandably shaken. 

“I am keen to hear from anybody who may have seen the suspects before the incident or know who they could be.”
