Man's body found by search team in Ulley Reservoir

Police were called to the Rotherham reservoir at 6.10pm, alongside South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, to concerns a man had got into difficulty in the water.

A spokesperson said that underwater search teams had been scrambled and a body had been recovered from the water at 9.15pm.

"No formal identification has yet taken place," they added.

"The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers."

The death comes less than four months after 16-year-old East Dene boy Sam Haycock died after visiting the beauty spot with friends.
