Deaths of Covid-positive patients on the rise at Rotherham Hospital

DEATHS of Covid-positive patients have risen sharply in a week at Rotherham Hospital.

There were six deaths after a positive test in the past week - compared with one the week before.

As of this morning, inpatient numbers for those testing positive have fallen slightly from 17 to 16, with one person in critical care. 

Overall, 4,719 inpatients at the hospital have returned a positive test for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
