Players still needed for 12-hour charity football match

The 12-hour match at Rotherham Football Centre will act like a relay, with players swapping on and off throughout, so the organisers said they would welcome anyone who fancied a game turning up.
Football centre manager Adrar Javid said the business was always out to support good causes and had been keen to help the family of Mailie Davy, who is set for treatment in the USA for Ewing’s sarcoma.

Mr Javid said: “It is tragic to hear what this young girl is going through and we’re always keen to give something back to the community.”
The marathon match at the football centre on Chesterton Road in Eastwood begins at 6pm tomorrow (Saturday) will go on until 6am the following morning.
