Mr Fox's flame dance to light up nature reserve

AN evening of dance, music and foxes is promised at the RSPB’s Old Moor nature reserve in Wath on Saturday.

Mr Fox and his skulk of foxes will be welcoming the change of season from 7.30pm.

He will be undertaking a special dance against Old Moor’s courtyard and farmhouse.

Tickets to the fusion of dance, drums and fire cost £5 for adults with a discount for RSPB members. To book tickets contact the visitor centre on 01226 751593 or email [email protected].

Mr Fox and his band have performed at the Old Moor reserve on previous occasions.

The dancers, carrying flaming brands, are normally found performing the Langsett Fox Dance on the Hunters Moon – the full moon following the autumnal equinox – but are making a special appearance on the reserve.

Tallulah Gullett, visitor experience intern at Old Moor, said: “We are really excited to have Mr Fox back at Old Moor this year.

“The mysterious masked dancers put on an incredible show and their fiery presence on the reserve is a really fantastic way to mark the end of the summer season.”
