The Falcons ran in nine tries as they went through the gears, going ahead after only ten minutes and never looking back.

To their credit Rotherham never gave up and were rewarded for their efforts when, at 26-0 down, they broke down the left and Drew Cheshire scored from a line-out. Lee Millar converted.

Their second try came in the second period, making the most of a sin-binning for new signing Ryan Burrows as Ifereimi Boladau crashed through with Caolan Ryan converting.

Rotherham continue their warm-up this Saturday when they head to Coventry for a more realistic test of theit mettle.
