MANAGER Alan Stubbs is confident his patient work in the transfer market will pay off for Rotherham United.

Interest has been registered with several clubs about intended targets and he expects positive news as the market starts to accelerate.

Speaking to the Advertiser, he said: "We have probably got six or seven phone calls into clubs about players and understandably you can't rush these things. Hopefully we can get a few of them across the line but at this moment in time it's a quiet period.

"We are very active behind the scenes but it will be a while longer until we get some concrete results."

Free agents and loan deals are also under consideration.
