Rotherham Titans' title tilt goes down to the final day
ROTHERHAM Titans are in prime position to win National One heading into the final match of the season.
They need only a point from Saturday’s finale against Sale FC at Clifton Lane to beat Blackheath to the title.

Titans won 68-7 away to struggling Sedgley Park at the weekend while long-time contenders Plymouth’s 29-26 defeat at Sale put them out of the race for the one automatic promotion place to the Championship and consigned them to the play-offs.
Blackheath won 43-19 at Leeds Tykes to keep in the hunt for automatic, four points off top spot.

Even if, as expected, they beat lowly Clifton at home in their final league game with maximum points, they still need the Titans to emerge point-less this weekend in order to pip them to the title.
A point for Rotherham on Saturday, either for scoring four tries or losing by seven seven points or less, would be enough to guarantee top spot because they have a superior Points Difference.
Given the threat Sale FC pose, underlined by that win over Plymouth, Titans will not get ahead of themselves. The Lancashire outfit are fourth in the table and on a strong run of form.
Biljon said: “We’ve come away from home for a tricky fixture and now we’ll make sure we do our due diligence as always (on Sale).
“We’re not going to change a thing. We’ll do what we always do and we’ll make sure we don’t take our foot off the gas in Tuesday night’s training and we’ll work into Thursday and then into Saturday.”
Backed by four busloads of supporters at Sedgley, Titans recovered from going behind early on to a converted score to run in ten tries.
There were two for Isaac Shaw while the others came from Jackson Barling, JB Bruzulier, Rob Povey, James Norman, John Okafor, Sinjin Broad, Morgan Veness and Lloyd Hayes, who also tagged on nine conversions. The win took Titans’ “points” for tally to a whopping 1,018 for the season
Kick-off on Saturday is 2pm.
