Big crowd expected for Rotherham Titans' top-of-the-table clash
ROTHERHAM Titans are expecting a bumper turn-out for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash against Plymouth Albion.
The two meet at Clifton Lane with just a point separating them at the top of National One and the winners will be favourites to go on and claim the one and only automatic promotion place to the Championship, the second tier of English rugby union.
Interest is already rivalling that of two years ago when 1,141 spectators watched Titans beat Yorkshire rivals Leeds on the way to promotion from the division below.
“We are hoping to have more here than for the equivalent game two years ago against Leeds,” said Titans director John Whaling.

"Don’t forget it’s a massive game for Plymouth as well and I expect them to bring a decent number of supporters up from Devon."
To accommodate the extra spectators the Titans Community Foundation building will be open to the public and there will be draught beers available in The Shed.
Kick-off is 2pm.
