Millers draw the line on deals

ROTHERHAM United have spelled out why big-money moves for strikers Lee Gregory and Tom Bradshaw fell down at the 11th hour.

Speaking to the Advertiser, chairman Tony Stewart revealed that the club were willing to pay £1.4 million for Millwall's Gregory and £500,000 to Walsall for Bradshaw – only for both asking prices to increase beyond a level considered acceptable.

“There are a lot of people throwing silly money around at the moment and we will not do that. We will invest but we won't be silly," added Mr Stewart.

The first team squad end their week-long stay in Poland with a match against Gornik Zabrze tonight (7pm).
