Rotherham United's full fixture list for the 2023/24 Championship campaign

ROTHERHAM United will kick off their second successive season in the Championship with a Saturday August 5 trip to Stoke City.

The Millers, who stayed up for the first time in four attempts last term, then face Blackburn Rovers at AESSEAL New York Stadium the following weekend.

The fixture schedule, which was released at 9am this morning, sends Matt Taylor's men to promoted Sheffield Wednesday for a South Yorkshire derby on Saturday October 28, with the return match being scheduled for Saturday March 2.

Rotherham have two Christmas home matches - against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and Sunderland on December 29 - before a New Year's Day visit to Blackburn.

They round off the 2023/24 campaign on Saturday May 4 when Cardiff City come calling at New York.

Yorkshire derbies with relegated Leeds United take place on Saturday November 25 (home) and Saturday February 10 (away).

The Millers, who have yet to make any signings since securing their second-tier safety, return for pre-season training on Monday and manager Taylor expects their summer recruitment to begin in the next couple of weeks.
