Loan ace Daniel Barlaser bids farewell to Rotherham United


ROTHERHAM United are set to miss out on the services of midfield string puller Daniel Barlaser in the Championship next season.
The 23-year-old is staying with parent club Newcastle United after a successful season loan with the Millers, helping them to promotion.

Hide AdBarlaser emerged to be a key part of Paul Warne's side, playing 35 times in all competitions.
He was initially asked to the return to the north east after the football lockdown in March as a precaution.
Posting on Instagram, Barlaser said: "We got what we set out for at the start of the season which was promotion back to the Championship but we are gutted that we couldn't finish the season.
"On a personal level it's the best year in my career and I am leaving a better person and player.

Barlaser will train with Newcastle's first team squad this summer, offering manager Steve Bruce a first chance to take a close look at the Gateshead-born play maker.
The club have exercised an option to extend his contract by another year.
